Korea’s two big theme parks both run a Halloween-season horror festival this autumn, and they are very different days out. Everland’s Blood City Zero is an outdoor zombie zone in Yongin, about an hour south of Seoul, running until November 22. Lotte World Adventure’s “Invitation to a Strange World” sits mostly under a glass dome in Jamsil, on the subway, until November 15. This guide compares dates, what is included in the ticket, what each park costs for a couple or a family, how to get there from Seoul and which one suits which kind of traveller. Prices and dates were checked against the parks’ official pages and Korean press reports on October 7, 2026.
1. Everland vs Lotte World Halloween 2026 at a glance
If you only read one section, read this table. The short version: Everland is the bigger, more theatrical horror experience but takes most of a day including travel; Lotte World is easier to fit into a Seoul itinerary and works in the rain.
| Everland | Lotte World Adventure | |
|---|---|---|
| Festival name | Blood City Zero: Hell Gate | Invitation to a Strange World (Junji Ito Collection tie-in) |
| Dates | September 12 – November 22, 2026 | September 12 – November 15, 2026 |
| Main horror time | Daily 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Evening shows; Dark Fantasy Festival parade nightly at 8:20 p.m. |
| Extra fee for the headline show? | No, included with park admission | Parades and shows included; two walk-through horror attractions cost extra |
| Adult one-day ticket | KRW 71,000 in October (KRW 65,000 in November) | KRW 67,000 (After4 entry from 4 p.m.: KRW 55,000) |

| From central Seoul | Bus 5002 from Gangnam or Everline, roughly 1 hour | Jamsil Station, Line 2 or 8, direct underground link |
2. Everland Blood City Zero: what you actually get
Blood City is Everland’s long-running autumn horror area, and 2026 is its tenth season. According to Samsung C&T, which operates the park, this year’s edition opened on September 12 for a 72-day run through November 22 and was developed with Korean film director Lee Seok-hoon. The concept is a large outdoor immersive performance: there is no separate stage, and zombies and actors move through the crowd across five themed zones called Hell Gate, Laboratory Out of Control, Circus of Madness, Bloodstained Schoolyard and Platform of Doom.
You play a “White Z agent” and collect stamps on an agent card by watching each zone’s performance and completing its mission. Finishing every mission earns priority boarding on the MONIMO RUSH ride, which is dressed as the Platform of Doom for the season. Large flash mobs gather zombies and agents from across the area at several points in the evening.
Times, price and extras
- Hours: the immersive performance runs daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Cost: Samsung C&T says it is available to all Everland visitors at no additional charge, so your normal one-day ticket covers it.
- Daytime content: the Smiley Pumpkin Parade runs daily through the festival, and the Wild Savanna Expedition walking safari in Lost Valley opened on the same day.
- Dress up: a Zombie Costume Room and a Zombie Makeup Salon operate on site if you want to join the cast.
Because the horror programme only starts at 4 p.m., most visitors who come for Blood City spend the day on rides and the safari, then stay until 9 p.m. That makes the last journey back to Seoul an important part of the plan (see section 5).
3. Lotte World “Invitation to a Strange World”
Lotte World Adventure does not call its autumn festival “Halloween”, but this is its Halloween season. The Herald Business reports that the festival runs from September 12 through November 15, built around the idea of a door opening into a strange world inside the park. From September 19 it added a collaboration with the Japanese horror anime Junji Ito Collection, with characters such as Tomie and Souichi used in photo zones, food and merchandise.
Evening schedule worth planning around
- 2 p.m. – Let’s Play! Lotty’s Adventure Parade (the daytime parade).
- 5 p.m. – Dracula’s Love on the Garden Stage, a rock-musical style show.
- 7 p.m. – World of Light, the light parade.
- 8:20 p.m. – Dark Fantasy Festival, the new horror-themed sub-parade that went viral in Korea this season.
Times are from Aju News and The Herald Business, based on Lotte World’s own announcements. Lotte World says show times can change on the day, so check the official app the morning you go.
Horror walk-throughs cost extra
Two horror walk-through attractions on outdoor Magic Island, Gwidam and Madosindang, run daily from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. until November 15, according to Newsis. They are sold separately from the park ticket, so budget for them if horror is the reason you are going, and expect age limits and ID checks. Bring your passport.
4. Ticket prices for foreign visitors (October–November 2026)
Lotte World Adventure
These are the official comprehensive-ticket prices listed on Lotte World Adventure’s website. The ticket covers the park and the Lotte World Folk Museum (museum admission closes at 6 p.m.).
| Ticket | Adult (19+) | Youth (13–18) | Child (36 months–12) | Baby (12–36 months) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Day | KRW 67,000 | KRW 58,000 | KRW 50,000 | KRW 17,000 |
| After4 (entry from 4 p.m.) | KRW 55,000 | KRW 47,000 | KRW 39,000 | KRW 17,000 |
Babies under 12 months enter free, and visitors aged 65 and over pay the child price. Lotte World notes that a screenshot of a mobile ticket will not be accepted at the gate. Its published preferential discounts (for disability, multi-child families and similar) are not available to foreigners unless they hold a valid Korean alien registration card.
Everland
Everland uses date-based price tiers, and on October 6, 2026 it raised every one-day ticket tier by KRW 3,000. Money Today reports that the peak-season adult and youth price went from KRW 68,000 to KRW 71,000, the high-season price from KRW 62,000 to KRW 65,000 and the regular and off-peak price from KRW 52,000 to KRW 55,000. Everland usually treats April, May and October as peak season and June, September and November as high season.
| When you visit | Adult / youth | Child / senior |
|---|---|---|
| October 2026 (peak) | KRW 71,000 | KRW 61,000 |
| November 1–22, 2026 (high season) | KRW 65,000 | KRW 55,000 |
The child and senior figures are the pre-increase prices on Everland’s English ticket page (KRW 58,000 peak, KRW 52,000 high season) plus the KRW 3,000 rise. Always confirm the price for your exact date in Everland’s calendar before you pay.
Discounts that work for tourists
Most of the headline 40–50% discounts you will see in Korean are tied to Korean credit cards or Korean mobile-carrier memberships. For international visitors, Samsung C&T lists special admission offers for eligible VISA, JCB or T-money cards, for eligible Asiana Airlines boarding passes, and 25% off the Everland pass through Singapore Airlines’ Kris+ platform for KrisFlyer members. Discover Seoul Pass holders get admission included as a pass benefit. Online travel agencies also sell e-tickets in your home currency; compare their final price and cancellation terms with the official price above before buying.
5. Getting there from Seoul
Everland
Everland’s official English transport page lists these routes from Seoul:
- Bus 5002: Sinnonhyeon Station – Gangnam Station – Yangjae Station – Everland. This is the simplest option if you are staying around Gangnam.
- Bus 5700: Gangbyeon Station – Jamsil Station – Songpa Station – Suseo Station.
- Bus 1500-2: Sadang Station – Nambu Terminal – Pangyo Station – Bundang (Seohyeon Station).
- Subway: take the Suin-Bundang Line to Giheung Station, transfer to the Everline light rail and ride to the last stop, Jeondae·Everland, then take the free shuttle bus to the park. Everline runs from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
All of these accept a T-money card. If you are not sure which transit card to carry, our T-money vs Seoul Climate Card guide explains why a T-money card is the safer choice for trips outside Seoul. Note that a Seoul-only pass will not cover the whole trip to Yongin.
Lotte World Adventure
Take Seoul Subway Line 2 or Line 8 to Jamsil Station; the park connects to the station underground. On weekend evenings Jamsil also fills with shoppers heading to Lotte World Mall and Lotte World Tower, so the subway is easier than a taxi.
6. What a day costs: two worked examples
These examples use only the ticket prices above. Food, lockers and paid attractions are extra.
A couple, both adults
- Everland on an October date: 2 × KRW 71,000 = KRW 142,000.
- Everland on a November date: 2 × KRW 65,000 = KRW 130,000.
- Lotte World, 1 Day: 2 × KRW 67,000 = KRW 134,000.
- Lotte World, After4: 2 × KRW 55,000 = KRW 110,000.
Because Lotte World’s horror parades and evening shows are concentrated after 5 p.m., the After4 ticket saves the couple KRW 24,000 compared with a full day and still covers the 7 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. parades. At Everland, Blood City starts at 4 p.m. but the park is far enough from Seoul that most people make a full day of it.
A family of four (two adults, children aged 8 and 11)
| Option | Calculation | Tickets total |
|---|---|---|
| Everland, October | 2 × 71,000 + 2 × 61,000 | KRW 264,000 |
| Everland, November | 2 × 65,000 + 2 × 55,000 | KRW 240,000 |
| Lotte World, 1 Day | 2 × 67,000 + 2 × 50,000 | KRW 234,000 |
| Lotte World, After4 | 2 × 55,000 + 2 × 39,000 | KRW 188,000 |
Moving an Everland visit from late October to early November saves this family KRW 24,000 on tickets alone, and Blood City runs until November 22. If your trip also includes the autumn leaves, check our Korea fall foliage 2026 forecast for the expected peak dates around Seoul and line up your park day with the best week for colour.
Which park should you choose?
- Choose Everland if you want the most immersive horror experience, you enjoy outdoor walking, and you can give it a full day. It also suits families who want the safari and big outdoor rides by day.
- Choose Lotte World if you are short on time, you want an evening-only plan on the subway, the forecast looks wet or cold, or you are a fan of Junji Ito. The indoor dome keeps most of the park running in bad weather, though outdoor Magic Island rides can pause in heavy rain or strong wind.
- Doing both? Spread them across two different days. Everland ends at 9 p.m. in Yongin, so trying to reach Lotte World’s 8:20 p.m. parade on the same day is not realistic.

Practical tips for Halloween weekend and busy dates
- October 31, 2026 is a Saturday. Expect both parks, and nightlife areas in Seoul, to be very busy that weekend. Weekdays in early November are calmer and, at Everland, cheaper.
- Check the official operating calendar before you go. Park hours, private events and individual ride closures can change, so confirm the day’s schedule in the official app or website before leaving Seoul.
- Carry your passport. Horror attractions check age, and some discounts and ticket pickups need ID.
- Dress for the evening. Both festivals peak after dark, and Everland and Lotte World’s Magic Island are outdoors. October nights in the Seoul area get cool quickly.
- Use a real or app ticket, not a screenshot, especially at Lotte World, which says screenshots of mobile tickets will not scan.
Frequently asked questions
Is Everland’s Blood City included in the normal ticket?
Yes. Samsung C&T says the Blood City Zero immersive performance is available to all Everland visitors at no additional charge, daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. until November 22, 2026.
Does Lotte World have a cheaper evening ticket?
Yes. The After4 ticket allows entry from 4 p.m. and costs KRW 55,000 for adults, KRW 47,000 for youths and KRW 39,000 for children, compared with KRW 67,000, KRW 58,000 and KRW 50,000 for the 1 Day ticket.
Can foreign tourists use the big card discounts?
Usually not. The large discounts advertised in Korean are tied to Korean cards and mobile carriers, and Lotte World’s preferential rates exclude foreigners without an alien registration card. Everland lists separate offers for international visitors with eligible VISA, JCB or T-money cards, Asiana boarding passes, Kris+ or the Discover Seoul Pass.
Which is better with young children?
Both festivals have family-friendly daytime content: Everland’s Smiley Pumpkin Parade and walking safari, and Lotte World’s daytime parade and indoor rides. The horror content is aimed at teenagers and adults, and some of Lotte World’s horror attractions have minimum ages, so check before promising a child a ride.
How late can I get back to Seoul from Everland?
Everline, the light rail that links the Everland shuttle stop to Giheung Station, runs until 11:30 p.m. according to Everland. If you plan to stay for the final Blood City performance at 9 p.m., check the last bus 5002 or the last subway connection from Giheung before you go.
